Modelling and Simulation

Blue Bear’s modelling and simulation capability centres around creation of fit-for-purpose Simulators, Simulations and Digital Twins.

Simulators provide high-medium-low fidelity simulation models of vehicles, e.g. aircraft and their subsystems (engines, radars, sensors and payloads, actuators etc). These are all Blue Bear IP and proven simulators for both dynamic performance (6 and  3 Degree of Feedom) and static point performance of air vehicles. One of these is used by the 5 eyes community in Defence Intelligence.

Simulations provide high-medium-low fidelity synthetic environments in which vehicles and other assets (e.g. people) exist and dynamically interact. This is all Blue Bear IP and includes CONOPs development tools, Mission Simulations, Autonomous behaviours prototyping tools,  Human-Machine-Interfaces,  Training tools, software emulators, hardware-in-the-loop/software-in-the loop rigs, test harnesses of real hardware and analysis tools as well as BB developed software that includes 3rd party Synthetic Environments, analysis tools etc.

Digital Twins blend the  Live assets (e.g. UAVs flying) with Virtual (e.g. vehicle simulators) and Constructive (e.g. autonomy behaviours) to create environments to rapidly design, implement and test complex solutions and to  generate analysis data that is easy to understand by military and engineers alike. Digital Twins are also being developed to assure complex equipment/capability at pace in the future – BB are UK leaders in this domain e.g. BB Digital Twin was the first in the UK to be accepted by the CAA to endorse BB UAS Use Cases.

Blue Bear blends Digital Twins, Simulation and Simulators with human in the loop or humans-on-the-loop to extract maximum value whilst delivering fast paced exploration of the trade space around any Concept/CONOPs/experiment.

Blue Bear have created a dedicated modelling and simulation service line (Cassima) to fully exploit our world class expertise and technology.
